Ok. Thanks col. I'm only getting it because my water is hard and this will bring the pH down and it also gives a bit of decor for them to hide in

Hard water resists pH changes, so the small amount of tannic acid won't drop the pH much, if at all. Wood is very decorative, though.

The Caves sound good, i make my owns and they love them my L134s dig them 24/7 and my bristle nose just had a batch in one of the caves.

i should be getting some clay ones in a couple of weeks, can't wait to try them out.

By the way Deathray where did you got ur L134s from?

I'm not getting any L134, but L129, the latter came from Imperial Tropicals from FL, but I know little of this place I don't even know their site, a friend ordered them for me. If you want I can ask him. snookn21 has some L134 in his vendor forum, you might check there

Are the cave suppose to be close on the other end or open like for example you use a PVC pipe?

ohh i just saw that list on ur signature and i though u own any, yes i'm planning on saving some funds and getting me 3+ L134 to my other 2.

well for breeding is better close, but if you only have one pleco, then the open on both ends would hurt.

In my Personal Opinion i like the Close ones, Because there is more security to the plecos when breeding and if they need to scape from other bigger fish that can't reach in the cave.

but it all goes with what you live better, are you planning on buying\making some?

probably buy or just use a PVC pipe.
