Right about the time my cultures were self sustaining, my dragon was an adult and didn't need that many roaches. I should've bought a full culture bin when my dragon was young. Not to hijack the thread... but my big fish love them now, so the investment in time was worth it i guess.

If your lucky (or unlucky) enough to have termite nests in your backyard like I did, it is easy to set up a harvest station. Just break a shallow hole enough to insert a small bucket with bottom holes and removable lid. Loosely seal the bucket base and fill with wet pine wood scraps. The ants will seal the base properly and move into the bucket to consume the wood. As long as you don't harvest too heavily and keep replacing the eaten wood you can have termites on tap. Great for finches as well as fish.
