Appears by previous posts, comments, and articles I've read, that he is currently a maturing male. And sue is very agressive, and likes to tear up the tank even if he's the only one in it.. Heres a few updated pictures taken today...hard to see the awsome coloration though in the pictures...

was in a 75, recently and temporarly relocated to a 29.... soon to go back into either a 55 or 75...
 
What if any other types of cichilds would be typical to mix in with him (assuming similar size, or use a divider till close)?
 
Most mbuna do well with the larger Nimbo species. Some dwarf species could even go in there but being that they didn't grow up together I wouldn't try a dwarf.
You need numbers. Two or 3 mbuna or 2 or 3 of anything will understandably not fare well with a territorial, sexually mature male.
In this case higher numbers is better to disperse the aggression between several fish.
