I know Paratheraps can be difficult to identify, especially when the pictures are crappy, but does anyone want to take a shot at this fish?

All true Paratheraps fish aren't cheap here, because most, if not all, used to come from Jeff Rapps, until a cichlid specialist store closed down in the middle of this year (they used to import fish from Rapps, many wild-caught). Now we're getting nothing from Rapps, and so the prices of central americans are going up and up. A subadult pair of P. zonatus went for $100 a couple of months ago.dominicolas;2586689; said:Free is always great! How much do they usually go for in your neck of the woods?

Yeah. It's still pretty skittish.dominicolas;2586738; said:Oh, I thought that was somewhat decided. It does look a little off from those pictures, but that could be attributed to stress. You might need to wait until it's settled in to track down/ settle on the exact species.
