Identifying EBJD Fry

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ebjd are usually more mellow than bg and bg more than regulate. I would remover the non dominant fish and leave the dominant one with the fry to protect them. Good luck. Fry look great. I will be getting a bg pair soon.

Lol...haven't posted in awhile(new baby took over my life! Just starting to get re-connected with my fish!) But very glad to see my thread is still alive and has somewhat helped others!

Any updates on grow outs that you held on to? What was your mortality rate? Growth rate? Temp & water parameters? Etc... This may be helpful info to other's programs.

Yes I agree. You have obviously got this breeding program going in the right direction. Keep the information flowing, as well as the EBJDs.

Would it be possible for u to see if I have any ebjd?

Unfortunately, breeding regular ( wild-type) jack dempsey's will never result in EBJD's. This is in response to your PM. For some reason my "app" isn't working properly and I wasn't able to respond to you privately.
