Bro, I do not mean any offense, but why are you asking questions if you do not want answers... I do not think you should question Koji knoweldge about asian arowanas, when it seems that you do not have any.

The fish looks like an Second Grade Red, or Banjar Red. I personally call them Fake Super Red. When adult, these fishes do not have any color, or at least very pale color. Where I am from, you can find them at around 150-200$.

no bro, its alright =) have to wait and see how it develops in the end. thx

some cross of a red, the big eyes and head says its a red but the finnage and body says different. i'd have to agree with Koji, Banjar is the best bet

yours look more like an RTG not mine dude. the tail is much darker.

Koji's is a green bro, i have one just like it. rtg's have a more pointed mouth and only lower half of the tail should be dark, greens and golds have rounder jaw and face profile, reds have more pointed faces with really big eyes and generally shorter body's for chilli reds with steely colored scales when young. your fish just has some bits of everything, typical Banjars...so most probably Banjar

i just have to agree, Koji sells these fine varieties for goodness sake, how could he profit from his enterprise if he doesnt know how to look at his fishes?;) sorry to pop your bubble bro but this is why we are all here, to learn from everyone...anyway, no matter what variety of asian it is that you have, they're all dragonfishes for me, so pump that little monster up and profit on it with experience;)

Exactly.
First pic really made me think RTG though, the red in the tail and it looked really yellow.
Go's to show how much I know about asian aro's!

Guys, I appreciate the praise but I aint a king. I just hope I can provide enough information here so that each and one of us can easily learn to identify any asia aro without been conned into buying something which the seller claim it is.

worship our god koji
koji could you plz make a thread where you would explain the characteristics of all the asians, gold, red, green, sapphire etc. this would greatly help =) how they look like when juveniles and what to look for when buying each aro. the thread should be sticky and this would be of great help for everyone here in the forum. of course everyone can share their information. what you think?
