I would just keep an eye on them in case things get out of hand.

oh, I always do....the only reason i mix so many species is because I keep a close watch daily. I have lost some fish over the years, but it's not NEARLY what most people would from my style of fishkeeping

well, they are in a tank w/ a Dovii an RTM (a very nasty RTM), 1.3 JDs, a female GT, a Synspilum, a pair of Texas and some armored catfish species

I've bred Jags before in a community cichlid tank and they never bothered anything, they just chased them away from the nest, no fatalities


I'm not worried about the Jags.....the Dovii and Mota are my concern. WIll the Jags neutralize the male Dovii and male Motagua aggression?

Possibly prior to the dovii getting substantial size on them, but if the dovii and rtm are real bastards, they may leave the jags alone and focus their efforts on the others. So hard to say, fish really have their own personalities.
