If a plastic container does not have the symbol on the bottom can it not be recycled?

You're talking about the half gallon cardboard ones right?

That would be boldtogether who also hates tree huggers. I know some places won't take the cardboard ones because of the wax on them.
 
Then those sorts of cartons should be discontinued.
 
Or facilities that won't need to get with the times, lot of places will.
 
My bad, not wax anymore, plastic layers now. They are becoming more recyclable as facilities get up to speed.
 
Oh good.
 
We recycle everything we can, even kitchen scraps go in the worm bin.
