it works pretty different with you i guess having 11 yourself :D:D(man really makes me jealous every time i look at a vid of your tank):drool:

actually you would have to put another option which states your mom would kill you then there would be more number of votes, just my opinion :grinno::grinno:

i was very lucky i didnt pay 1 cent for my 6 x blue base crossback :D

the poll is just to see how many people would be willing to pay the sort of money needed to get that dream aro that everyone says they would buy is asian aros were leagle in the US

a good grade red that every one drools over would cost $2,600 hear in the UK

and a RTG $700-1000 depending if you buy it from a shop or a private seller

my point hear is even if they were leagle how many members hear would spend $2,000+ someone posted about 50% of MFK member would :D

thats a good point most people who have asian aros hear in the UK started off with a green or banjar 1.5 red only to be disapointed and then they move up to a Red tail gold

Most people are very happy with their Red tail golds and stick with it for life

But their are a few who move up to the higher grade stuff like xbacks and high grade red but that high end market is very small hear in the UK with at least 80% of the higher end asian arowana being from asian background

I don't see the point in trying to prove there's no market for asian arows in U.S. vs. just going along with the point that enough people would buy them to warrant them being legalized. It's like a personal vendetta about U.S. shouldn't be allowed or something.

of course their is a market thousand of greens and RTG would be sold if not millions

but how many would buy the higher end fish

i see it all the time when anyone posts pics of asian aros IF ONLY THEY WERE LEAGLE IN THE US

im just intrested to know if they were leagle how many members would rush out and spend $2k+ on a fish

im positive there is a market in the US for the higher end asian aros. there are plenty of people here in the bay area that have chili red, xbacks, etc. there are plenty of people willing to pay the premium prices of illegally imported aros in the US. imagine if the cost was a little cheaper, there will be plenty more who will jump on the band wagon. espcially the people who dont have the connections to acquire one illegally.

i'd drop 2K on a nice/rare fish no prob. as long as it was legal to own. think about it, how many of you spend that kind of money on multiple fish/tanks/ supplies to hold all those fish per year? i know i do. every year comes tax returns and i get my check in the mail, and then spend all of it on "stuff", why not make that "stuff" a nice *** asian that you can cherish for 20+ years?

I don't care about the price. I wouldn't buy one if it was $100. I don't like the look of them. A black or silver is a WAY better looking fish, IMO.

If I had a big enough tank to house arowanas, I would much rather have a black or silver arowana than asians of different colors.

Fixed and I agree.

Having had the opportunity to see a very nice blue base crossback in person, I would be more than happy to drop that kind of cash on one...unfortunately my wife would kick my little white arse across the street and back if I did.
