If feeders have no nutritional value...

All he said was that....many people said that feeders have ZERO nutritional value.

It may not be healthy, or make the fish live as long, but fish CAN survive just on feeders and grow out to a decent size if they needed to.

Me knowing some old regulars I know it's true.
and feeders must HAVE some nuritional value for those guys to grow out their red and silver aro...ONLY ON FEEDERS...from tiny babies to over 2-3 footers.
I tried talking them out of it, but they refused to change over to something else.

how much are feeders in the US?

None of the fish stores I've seen here in England have dedicated feeder fish tanks. There used to be when I was a kid, not now.

Goldfish, guppies, platys, largish tetras etc start at about £1.50, which is almost 3 dollars.

So yup if you were only gonna feed your fish feeders it's going to be expensive.

If none of the shops in your area sell feeders you should start breeding. Guppies are easy

There are many things better for your fish than feeders. Feeders are good for when you go on vacation. just throw a bunch in there. Feeders are also entertaining. It gives your fish a chance to hunt. Check it out.... I would say worms, shrimp and pellet food are more vitamin enriched than a feeder. So like don't give your fish a diet of feeders, aight dogg.

This is true - there is a 3 ft. or so silver aro at a chinese restaurant close to my house...The owner has feed it NOTHING but goldfish it's whole life...obviously it survived...but you gotta wonder how many years have been taken of it's life

my god, goldfish are 15 cents in America? Are they labelled feeders?

I can't believe that, I'm paying almost 3 dollars for a goldfish sized fish or an actual goldfish >_<
