Plus how many people out there are leaning Rocks on their walls and stockpiling LBS and LBS of rocks in their tank>?

I would say thats more of a problem.

The way I see it is the rock "usually" weights less than the water it is displacing, unless of course you're using really dense rock. But the rocks I use in my tank surely weigh less than the water they displaced when I put them in.

rock always weighs more than water. however unless the rock is leaning on the glass the force from the rock is always straight down.

If rock weighed less than water it would float.
Ok, I checked out my tank last night. Its actually not as bad as it started. It's less than a half inch off.

I think I might hem it a little this weekend. Not all the way level, maybe half of what it needs to be level. Then another month or two and I'll finish. That way I'm not changing the stress points so fast.
