The second one is nice, not for my tank though.

As far as keep it natural, liiks just like the beach here.. sand, bottle, sand, log, sand, beach bum.

Not my style, but $10 is a good price.

Miles, what do you think of making these pieces to resemble greek amphorae (2000 year old wine casks)? The algae glaze would resemble the aging that's occurred to these amphorae from centuries under water. There may be some moray/grouper keepers interested in such pieces. I've seen these in public aquaria with the "broken" section near the wider parts of the bell of the amphorae.
Also, pieces that resemble aged skeletal remains (turtle carapaces/plastrons, hip sections, skull sections, etc) would have a following in the ]V[onster fish keepers communities.

i still don't think many would go for it. most people try to either go completely outlandish and unreal, or go for completely real. these are more or less inbetween the two, so there is a very small niche

if i was doing a tank to look like that i would definetly buy them but other then that its just not my style.......... they do look a hell of a lot better then other like flower pots and things people put in their tanks........

i kinda like the broken pottery thing.. especially with the crayfish and snails in the tanks.. but i could seriously do without the fake algae..

They look like they would make great breeder caves!

the pots would be great for your fish, but i dont think i would like them so much in my tank, but everyone likes something different i guess, $10 is pretty good value i agree!!
