Election year politics... :)

It is funny that on the right, more than one politicians are caught hiring an illegal to do a job; and on the left, a mass amnesty would negatively affect the poor the most, their chief constituency.

If you don't like economic immigration then you don't like the laws of supply and demand.
If you don't like the laws of supply and demand you don't like Capitalism.
If you don't like Capitalism then you don't like the American way or believe in the " American Dream" and you probably hate apple pie.
You also deny the very reason your own ancestors came to the US in the first place....but the irony is lost on most xenophobes.
Even the principle languages spoken here are from other countries ( England and Spain)

California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, as well as parts of Wyoming, Colorado, Oklahoma and Kansas were all Mexican before the (illegal) Mexican-American war......
Yes the U.S sure covered itself in glory with that one!! and now mexicans are in effect illegal in what was their own country. How's that for irony?

Do you fear an Asian invasion?
I hope not, my wife is Asian
Asians are overtaking Hispanics in immigration numbers, and they are mostly legal and better trained as workers...;)
I don't have any issues with people coming here legally

LOL

As someone who worked side-by-side with "illegal" immigrants for many years on a family-owned farm, I stand firmly on the side of immigrants.

Mexican immigrants are much more deserving of their place in our society than many American citizens. They work hard and contribute in a huge way to our economy - much, much, more than American-born welfare recipients, of which there are many.

I realize this is the kind of hot topic which will most likely be closed due to an inability of people to discuss the matter civilly, but I can't help but speak my mind on this one (even my wife says I shouldn't be posting this as a moderator).

Seeing as your only reply is "LOL", I believe it's far to say you lost that one.

Hmm I seem to remember you creating a thread about you raping someone in a lucid dream.. Okay, back to logos..

It's funny as I recall traveling to and from the US side of the border to the Mexican.. It takes nothing to go from here to there.. But God forbid anyone but a US citizen dare to cross into "our" land

land which by history never belonged to us. And while many people come to the US seeking only to care for their own families.. Would you not do the same? Are we so selfish that we cannot share this little piece of our wealth to our struggling neighbors? Alas no, we deport anyone who dare step on our land, ridicule them, shun them, yellow journalism hypo exagerrates some "drug war" fed and supplied by US.
