Those are some cool cats. Although they will really stir up the substrate and cloud the water a little

Yeah I noticed watching them that they're hardcore sifters... the adult one we saw was sifting through gravel and passing it out of it's gills... like a geophagus on steroids haha. I've got a growout setup for it, though it probably won't have to actually grow too much to swim with the big guys since they've got pretty heavy bodies. Definitely needs to get through the quarantine period though since it's WC. Not taking any chances there
There are "dwarf" giraffe noses... Not sure if the personality is the same thoughGood idea there

Fair enough... Little guy just arrived ad got acclimated, I'm leaving the lights off for a while to let it get used to the new digs. Will post photos later on!
In the hospital with the wifey, they're observing her to see if she's actually laboring or not sooo based on what goes down in the next couple hours pics might have to wait lol
FYI though, the siren who cohabitated with 2 polys starting when they were about 2" and never bothered either of them was actively and aggressively hunting the giraffe cat... He's been moved to a new location and the giraffe has a growout to itself now, but totally weird experience. Just goes to show you that no matter how well you know the fish/salamander/whatever doesn't mean the dynamic can't change in an instant!

good luck with wife man mine is driving me nuts wont take it easy and at the end of the day feel those pains....not ready for the little guy yet
They're sending us home, she's in early labor but it could be hours or days before it actually goes into the real deal. She didn't want to get induced so we're waiting and seeing what happens. If nothing by Sunday they're going to induce. Roller coaster ride is almost over!
