How do you have those options for feeders in your backyard lol pond or do you live where they occur?

I live where the naturally occur. The sailfin mollies Im having a hard time catching though. Those buggers are fast! I will set up a QT tank soon as feeding from the wild makes me nervous.

Once hes off live I will feed him frozen killifish, mullet, silversides and shrimp all caught and frozen by me.

WOW he looks tiny in this picture! He is about 3". The airstone and plant is in the front of the tank and he was in the very back. The blue crawfish (which I caught today along with about a dozen others) is also in the back and is about an inch long himself.

ha ha the problem is it is not an armatus...LOL its a army! :)

j/k, nice to see you back, it runs in the blood!
Before long you will be picking up a ray or two :)

I'd still like to know more about what the PH is down in the 'Bama Breeze.......

When I got the new one today I went ahead and bought 5 little cheap tetras as my original one hadnt eaten anything yet. Despite having the mosquito fish in the tank and not touching them for three days, as soon as I dropped the five in (with the new one floating by the way!) he pounded three of them! Very strange he isnt touching the mosquito fish but is eating the tetras. Perhaps its because the mosquito fish are always at the top of the water and these tetras swam down to the bottom.

that is awesome!!! id go for a throw net, and then just breed them. I will never get my fish off live entirely, partly because breeding mollies and platys (as I do) is fun, and I feel it helps to lessen aggression on tank mates
