I'm Fed Up...Im out of answers

It's not your stress coat, or the choarcoal either.

Your biofilter is not stabilized yet. What you will have to do is start your tank over. Find a place to keep your fish and do a 100% water change and let it run for 1 week then slowly add fish in each day.

you can use the bio media that comes with the ac110 as your substrate for more biohouse.

You will have to find a way to house all your fish....ask a lfs.

Don't waste your money and time with the rest. I ran into the same problem twice a few months ago with my 135 and 20 gallon and I have been keeping fish for about 10 years now. Costed me $1000s in fish.
I had the same problem in my 135 gallon with less fish but my overstock 180 gallon was find:screwy:

If you really pay attention and smell the fish tank water, you can tell that it had a strange odor and that its not a natural fish water smell.

make life easy and start using Prime to condition water. sounds like your bio media isnt established or it has been killed off

I turn on my filter as soon as I can after a wc

i was doing my WC...i had the filters off...so i then would throw in the stress coat....then fill back up then turn on the filters...we are talking 30 min at the most hear guys..that wasnt the cause of it..in the tank was well established its been up for a year now almost. last night i did 50% WC on both tanks added the ammo lock and filled it back up.

i will now see how that worked. i thought i had read that ammo lock would give me false readings on my ammonia still. so i dont know how i can test it and say "yay this worked" lol

I think you are losing bacteria when you turn the filters off.

AC110's drain almost completely when you do a water change. My remedy is to use a cup, fill them back up to full with tank water and continue with my WC. obviously I keep them off until I am done but at least they are full of water and the BB has the water it needs.

you sure it isnt false readings?

Yeah...what kind of test kit are you using?

i dunno...
im totally against using chems in the tank to solve problems. I say you do what some1 else said and which is what i would do. 50-80% water change with media sitting in a bucket of tank water, DO MAINTAINANCE ON YOUR FILTER, condition and refill, and add stress zyme. DONT TEST WATER RIGHT AWAY, i let it run for 24hours through filters and then test, this is when you will get a TRUE reading.
There is no water problem, imo, that cant be fixed by wc and proper conditioning.
DILUTION IS THE SOLUTION FOR POLLUTION!!

dont add chems, you're wasting your cash.
