im getting a rtc today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm not going to flame it's not worth it people won't listen no matter what you say so not point in saying it

It's just best to enjoy him/her as long as you can it maybe 6 months it maybe 10 years no one knows

Just take as much advice as poss from people who have grown them to adult size and still have them now the problem is not many people out there who have them in the right size tank at adult size

Good luck your going to need it along with lots of money

Please don't take this as a bash it's just some friendly advice

^agreed, it takes a very dedicated aquarist to house these fish. I myself will be building a 12'x12'x5' pond for mine once the ground thaws in spring and build a greenhouse around it. That's my dedication. I have devoted my life to housing these monsters. Monster Fish = My life!

yea they grow really fast! i bought mine when he was just 8" and now its 12"!! and i just got it early this year... and i'm so dead knowing it will grow that fast and get really large, and i'm living in an apartment that i'll have no way for a pond... and yet i still bought another one early this month.. but i really love rtc, really beautiful fishes!

does everybody else notice that many will say that they have/will be getting rtc,but when asked if they have a pond or massive tank for the rtc, they will say "i WILL be building a pond soon" or "i am PLANNING to build a pond"..plans...all plans..haha!
And yeah rigil, good decision on getting another rtc.maybe you're planning to convert your apartment into an aquarium?..

^I agree. Why buy another RTC if you already have one that has almost outgrown your tank, and you KNOW you can't provide larger accomidations?

yea my mistakes guys, but i just love them. but i have a reservoir near by my place, i will release him there. No worries, i love fishes as much as you guys do.

NO! dont release him into a reservoir, i dont no the native fish of singapore but ill be willing to bet that a redtail cat will be able to eat plenty them. bring it to an aquarium or something but dont release it where its not indigenous. please

This is illegal and highly unintelligent. You'll need to do better than that.
