Aparently in Virginia, if your gion 18mph over the speed limit, you face similar charges to a DUI ( 3,500$ + fees, and up to 1 year in jail) My court case is next month...

And there wasnt anybody on the freeway cept the mustang that flew by me. I guess the cop didnt see the mustang, just me...

20 over can get you reckless operation too..
Wow 18 over gets you that...thats ridiculous I know of people been pulled over much quicker than that and get off with a warning.
Good luck, they tend to lessen the charge though if your a first time offender
 
Do not walk in there without representation. For 3500.00 you can definitely hire private council...most private council will let you pay them out...and a decent lawyer can do worlds of good.

I'm in court several times a month. I see people that appointed lawyers and those that pay for council. Those poor poor people that use appointed lawyers.

A good lawyer is worth any that you spend on them.
 
Correct me if I am wrong here, but I beleive there is a Korean Law that states:

If one is seen spitting his/her own chewing gum on public floor grounds, a part of their tongue is cut off...

Me too!!!!! I hate the driving laws here, mainly because everyone drives like morons and gets away with it. Then you do something like you did and they catch you while there are worse offenders right under their noses.
 
I ride a motorcycle, why arent the cops getting the people who are on the phone, and running me off the road, what about the outstanding citizens playing with their damm I-pods, then swerving or braking hard infront of me because they wait till its too late to react...

atleast twice a week somebody runs me off the road or out of my lane, I really think im safer if I stay away from the traffic by working thru it quickly instead of hanging around the congestion waiting to get run over...

but this time there wasnt even any traffic, and i didnt see the cop, guess they dont have to be visible here.
