2 weeks my cycle your tank but i dont recomend that you put fish in for at least a month, small reefs are very unstable in the begining. there are a few things that are going to make this alot easier for you. Flow is a must you will need a power head or 2 along with your AQ 70 and protien skimmer. Lighting is also very important are you running metal halide, pc or what and is it single, double bulb or more? also a timer for your lights will help you out alot even your live rock will have things living in it. When i cycled my tank i used live rock, live sand and just waited until the final algae bloom started then i added a cleaner shrimp and a snail then waited another couple of week to ad a fish, i waited 2 months just to ad 1 fish. If you have anyother question just let me know

no most damsels are not reef safe. The decaying stuff on your live rock will start your cycle and because you are doing live rock and live sand there should already be nitrifing bacteria built up in it. NO fish at all for a while, its boring i know but it will be alot better it the long run.

ooooo ok now i understand
yea i guess ill just do the live rock and live sand
so far ima get a protien skimmer
aquaclear
powerhead
heater
live rock and sand
and thats all sound good?

your filters will be for mechanical only, you should wash it weekly because nitrates will collect in there. Your live sand and rock is actually your bio filtration

yeah sounds good the protein skimmer you dont need while cycling because there is no bioload in the tank.
