im in a pickel !!! 40" RTC pics ;)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Insulated tote...they got them at the local Fish houses...Just ask them to borrow one for transporting a large fish...they will help you out. Just make sure to clean it when you are done...

Make sure to get a video of you getting your ass kicked by a big catfish...That dude is not going to be cooperative no matter what you do to get him out and into a tote...

Maybe drain his water down really low and wrestle him into a sheet...better get alot of guys, so you can tag in and out as he puts the whippin' to you...Good Luck!! you are going to need it...

do u no the power of these fish lol im reinfocing loads of wood for her a fellow mfk member got pulled in but his rtc that is 42"!. she going 2 be great this is probley one of the biggest rtc in the uk ;) lucky me :D lol
haha that 'fellow mfk member' IS ME! :p anyways that is a HUGE RTC. glad to finally see an equal to mine. especially in the UK with the FREEZING WEATHER! its a surprise how fast it has grown in only 4 years!

Anyways for a fish that size...u will definitely have to ask the owner to starve the fish 2 days prior to the move (this will result in less weight and stress which = less damage to the fish's body wen it is being moved). u do not have to sedate. u can actually just use a GIANT NET to quickly carry the fiish after u have lowered the water. I know sum members will say that this cud damage the fish...but if done properly it can be finished quickly and efficiently ( my RTCS are fine after our move)

U then need a pickup truck or a small lorry which can fit a fibreglass tank (those blue tubs) that measures 6 foot by 3 foot by 2 foot. that is the standard size in which u can buy or hire one. fill the fibre glass tank with water and aeration (ie. bubbles) that shud last the 2 hours. definitely a stressful process. my RTCs have only just started eating after a month of starving (after i moved them to a temp home) so dw about it. Hope u have ample heating! UK shud be freezing up anytime soon...thats why the colouration on the RTCs body seems quite bland and pale. they dont like cold water.

good luck and have fun while doing it!
