why not just use a AC during the day as it prob gets cooler at night and if it doesn't then keep the AC on
So just curious. Why does a cold water drip get dismissed so quickly?

Yes that is true but if you drip 50% of your tank volume a day which only equals about 25 to 30% water change per day it should drop Temps drastically. I guess the way I look at it I would much rather play with a drip getting figured out how to adjust it to what Temps I want then spend huge amounts of money on a chiller. Or at least a tempt it.
A lot cheaper and hey if it doesn't work...m you have a drip system and there is no need for huge expensive units. I use (and know a few who use the same) Mastercraft home water purification units with carbon blocks and 5 micron filters... just waiting to get bashed for that one lol but AL in all is the same unit and does the same job
I did all of my drip for under 200 and used all push lock fitting which are 8 dollars a fitting here. Just about half my cost was in fittings
