I'm new, been keeping fish all my life, finally keeping monsters

That's awesome. Cool to know the intex pools work so well. No worries about punctures from the cats?

Nope, these pools are very rugged. Last week I left the siphon in while I was at an appointment, heater burned a hole in the side, fixed it with my auto body panel bond. The patches the pool came with suck.
The weaving in the pvc pool wall stopped it from bursting wide open.

Netting is up, not a huge fan of it. Needs more work before Bitey the arowana goes in.
Most likely going to upgrade netting when he's bigger. But for now it will definitely keep him from the floor.

Looks cool. Now you just need some rays!
I have been thinking about doing one of these pools for quite some time. I don't think the liners are rugged enough for a ray barb though. Best bet would be to clip the barbs of rays kept inside.

I'm getting one in a few weeks. Motoro, I plan on cutting the tip.

Great pond, hope to have one in home someday. What are mats in middle for?
Thanks is been up for a little over a year now. With starting my auto body shop a masonry pond wasn't in my feasible budget. I have no complaints with the durability of it.
They're to prevent rocks from rubbing a hole in the liner.

Finally got a dehumidifier. This summer as we all know is hot, my central air was straining with the humidity. I have the basement down to 30% from 55%. I think I may put a shelf up and run the condensed water back to the pool.

Finally got netting I can be happy with. Way more durable than what I originally had. Now I'm confident my arowana won't end up on the floor. My fish room is definitely coming together.
