I just had a huge fish loss, probably the loss that upset me 2nd worse, behind when my old Bichir died. My 4" Flash Pleco, L-104, died today, I found him in a driftwood cave all washed out and very dead. Worst part is, he was such a cool fish to show off to people, he was diurnal and swam around during the day since the day I got him. I have no idea when I can get another one, as the only place I know of that sells them is like 2 hours away. Good bye ]v[0NSTER Pleco, good bye rarest fish I own, and good bye 25 bucks. And I feel even guiltier since Flashes are wild caught
The only thing I can think of as a cause of death is that the temp in the tank is way up since some of my Yoyo Loaches had ich... I didn't see any ich on him, and I raised my internals so there is a LOT of water movement to compensate for low dissolved oxygen levels... ah I'm pissed
