swordtales, I dont understand why you felt the need to trash Bottomfeeders thread with some crappy moral lesson. why couldnt you just show a little compassion and leave it at that.

You didnt answer WHY you (personally) felt it was necessary though?
looking for sympathy? or for a response more like what i gave. Hard unadulterated truth is tough to swallow sometimes but sending condolences for your fish via MFK is semi-PETA level. Sure i could have just not responded, but i'm bored and dead fish threads bewilder me?
Also your a Brooklynite, (supposed to be a tough cookie) I'm sure someone recently got shot 1 neighborhood over from you. Do you care at all? Probrably not...My point exactly....

To Teohha, Yes, I cared more for my parakeet than my grandfather...
it's because I knew the parakeet longer and i was like 6years old.....
 
i think it is important to talk about ur dead fish because it can sometimes lead to the reason they died which can save other fish in the future. sorry for your fish. i really hope you can find a new one.

Swordtales - Most the people here care more about their fish then most humans they come into contact with. Or they wouldn't spend their time on a fish forum ... :grinno:

I won't cry over a stranger.. but I will cry over someone I know.. be it human or another species. Thems the breaks.. anything someone is emotionally attached too means more to an individual then a random living being. :WHOA:

There is nothing wrong w/ mouring/being angry about a pets death. it happens. Just like people die. long as you don't let it consume you it's perfectly healthy and normal to get upset about it. :cry:
 
He already said in his thread title that he wanted to rant about his fish so if not here then where else would one deem it appropriate?Dead or not this forum is where we discuss ALL things relating to aquarium fish.
 
sorry about your loss. but a seriouse ? why does some body always havt ta start some thing on this typ of trd its kind of bs guys hes here to vent about his loss im sure if this were ur fish you wuldnt like some one posting a well its not a person so its not that important crap on here alot of people on mfk consider thier fish family just like someone wuld thier dog or cat. and imo swordtails your post was in bad tast and seems like you wanted to start a fight . not cool not cool. agin bottomfeeder sorry for your loss.
