Im sad but happy...

Well Im going to hold off on getting anything else for a while. One of the reasons why I also wanted to give them to him was because Im having a hard time controlling the heat of the tank. It is in the garage and with our 100 degree days we have been having the tank is at 90 F. I am afraid that when it gets hotter and we hit 105 or even 110 the tank might hit 95 or 100F. That would then kill them if it got that hot. The only solution I have is to buy a chiller and I don't have enough money at the moment to buy one to chill a 700 gallon.
Well let's just say that you love your fish less than some other folks here on m f k although the cost of a chiller can be prohibitive for you at this time but there is still next year you did not raise all these fish yesterday you must have had them thru many summers and they survive ,you could have as well taken your time to raise the cash to make the fish happier, I sincerly question your motives:naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty:

Glad you found a happy place for them.. lucky you and your fish! the Cabellas near me makes me want to cry everytime I go near their tank display... the natives all have severe HITH and rampent bacterial and likely fungal infections... I don't think I've seen a "clean" fish in their big tank in a long time. One giant of a walleye really gets to me. it's been that way for monthes now.

Wow that sounds depressing. Luckily this cabelas takes awesome care of their fish and the guy really knows what he is doing. I definitely trust him and I dont trust many people with the well being of my fish.

Def the right thing to do.

I agree as others have posted that you did the right thing. I am sure it was hard but it is pretty cool that you still get to see them in such a large tank!!!

i can understand your feelings but your doing a good thing for your fish - a much bigger tank for them. theyll be a lot happier. well done for making the right decision!

that is absolutely awesome! i would hate to give up my fish but if there was a tank big enough for me to get in and swim with them that i would have access to anytime i would do it. you are one heck of a guy for raising fish like that and i hope that guy who said he questions your motives is kidding too. i read that and i was like a guy who has a 700 gal pond and personally raises fish for cabelas obviously has some motives straight lol. do you have any pics of these beasts?
