Not sure if you have thought about this, but since the temp of the tank is going to be hard, why don't you get a window unit AC and lower the temp of the over all garage, and you can then keep the tank at a reasonable temp.
I have ms hill. The only problem is there is no feasible place to put the unit at. The only window faces the street and in the community we live in the neighbors would complain.
Unfortunately no, the hoa we have here want to know anything and everything here and they would give me so much hell about it. The only way i could think to do it is crack the garage enough to put it on the bottom and close off the sides. Even then they can still see it sticking out.
Thanks. I appreciate the help with it. Im not sure what to do with it either. id like to put my smaller fish in there so the can grow but with the heat I may have to take it down. Im just not sure.
lol no its made of what the rest of the house is made of, brick and wood. Its just the moisture from the tank and the heat coming from the metal garage doors makes it so hot.
Here is an idea.. My buddy runs a koi business, and most of his tanks are in his garage.. he had the same issue..
He took out his metal doors, and added regular doors. I mean, this may be an issue if you live in a bad part of the area, but You could then leave a door open, and put a fan in there. Then at night you can put it away.
