im sorry just blowing steam

This is something I have an issue with as well. And first I will say I DID grow up poor. Food stamps and low income housing saved our lives. It's hard once you get so far down, to get back up. That being said, there is a point. In that environment I saw the good and the bad. There were people like ourselves, single income, multi child families trying to get out.....and then there were the people who didn't work, had kids falling out of every hole, most were users or alcoholics, and got supported in every facet of life. They had to do NOTHING. My family worked hard, and got out, while they sat back and enjoyed.

This still bothers me today, as my wife is now pregnant, we both work hard, pay for insurance, do everything the way we should, and will still get stuck with bills that our insurance does not cover (like the first couple $k we have to pay before our insurance even kicks in). We get no government assistance, we get no help. On the other side of the coin is a friend's sister and her boyfriend. He has a child from another girl (who was just taken from him btw), and they are now pregnant. She was laid off and has been collecting unemployment for MONTHS (and is not trying to find another job). He does not work, but rather lives off her unemployment as well. They get government assistance on top of that. They have no insurance, but will have the assistance to pay for their child's birth, growth, raising.......WTF. I'm working my tail off to not only slip by supporting my future child, but support his as well.

There are the needy, who I truly don't mind helping, then there are the lazy, who I would rather burn the money in front of than give it to them.

Thanks! :)

And yes on the rest. Some people need help, others just think they deserve it.
