The point is, you can look at any religious book and find "predictions" in hindsight, and they never match word for word, you always have to "interpret" them. Like when you interpreted "monster of the sea" to be a hurricane, when John probably meant an actual monster.

I know it's all what ifs, predictions etc..
but it's not something to completely disregard.

Yes, it can. I often do. The historicity of Jesus has not been well established. There just aren't any records of him, nor of Moses, or most of the other major people in the bible. The fact that most of their names are descriptive of their situations signals to me that it was written with symbolism in mind, as symbolism doesn't actually turn up too much in real life.
However, I'm sensing the mods' watchful eyes. It would perhaps be best to steer this away from religion. I have no problem discussing this without making remarks about people's religious beliefs, while sticking solely to the facts, but there's always someone somewhere that flares up and gets the thread closed.
