A few months ago....

As you can see they start out looking kind of normal then the spots start to appear. I had a hunch she was a TI based on the small spotting starting to apear when I saw the pic.

Congrats on the new pick up Trev. Looks to have great potential. And yes the only thing that matters is what you think, whether it be a AAAAAAAAAAAAAA TI BD or a little ole Retic. Again its a great looking ray.......

Thats the trouble is there are many different opinions on what qualifies as a bd and no scientific proof to back any of it up... Very grey area and we will always be argueing over it. I am fine calling her bdleo too

From all my research I have done.. there is no difference in a BD and a Leo.. they are the same species just different marking from different local?

TI stands for thousand Island which is a trade term for the little spots between the normal pattern you would see on a classic Leo.

Someone chime in if I am giving bad info I am far from a black ray expert
