On the above thread this guy is getting sick pleasure from watching a half dead fish trying to eat, the others chime in and have a blast at the expense of this living thing. This IS NOT reponsable fishkeeping and is exactly the kind of behavior I have come to expect from this site. I have never seen this behavior on WW or any other fish forum. IMO, people like these guys and threads like this don't belong among a community of responsable fishkeepers, or at least...their threads don't. Why would anyone want to come to a place like this for advice? Where sick red necks get pleasure over something this cruel? I worry about the reputation of this site.
I wouldnt worry about the rep. of this site, and if they find it funny let them be, you dont have to, I dont find it funny I find it mean. Its was prob. a feeder that just happened to survive, goldfish are used as feeders alot its normal. I dont think I would find it funny if my feeder was half alive like that I would feel really bad for it but I guess they did not so they are posting there story, its not like they are encouraging it no where in the thread does it say oh look everyone should try this. Oh and by the way, not everyone on here is a redneck, and not everyone is sick. Also alot of people on this site are good people and know what they are talking about, you just have to learn to ignore certian things, I find things like this on many other fish sites also its not just mfk.
I know not everyone one this site is a redneck, I know not everyone is sick...remember if you will what I said before about generalizations? This is the only site however where behavior like this is tolerated. Some don't care, I think it is a damage to the site's integrity and good name to have people like this clogging up the boards.
