I agree w/ this. The JD is not a hybrid. Very nice looking JD and I am suprised these aren't more common in the hobby.

I asked the LFS here about their JD with the red coloration. I was told that they were F0 and F1. The coloration is not from hybridization. It's just a variant that is found in the wild more often than in the hobby. Great looking cichlid regardless.
