WTF!!

I was doing everything right... Changing the water every 3-4 days he was eating all the time... My roommate just called me and told me that my african arowana died!! I dont know what the hell happened?? They think he choked on some small gravel? My substrate was almost like sand it was ground up gravel... I thought he was doing great. I am very sad now
