definately a silver.
nice steal!

thanks guys!!

Now what would you reccomend for a FINAL adult size tank?

Would a 5x2.5x2 (LxWxH) be big enough?
or what dimesnsions would you reccomend?

or if my 240 wont work ill get one built bigger..
i want the best possible life for this guy :)

Honestly I've asked the same question and gotten some mixed views. Basically the absolute MINIMUM you could keep it in it's life for would be a 6'L 2'W tank, but a silver would be much happier in a 8'L 30" W tank.(correct me if I'm wrong)

Great bargain!:headbang2

Build the biggest tank you can,not many people build a giant tank then wish it was smaller:naughty:

:iagree: I thought I would be happy with the 210 we got a month ago. Nope, and with many thanks to this site, I have bitten. I can't wait to own a house instead of renting a townhouse.

well CONVINIENTLY i can have a 5x3x2. But i dont think this is enoug,
so i would have to move around computers/furniture to find a place for a bigger tank,

that should last him a while especially since it's 3'W. I'm not sure how long it would last you though. Wait till some of the experts comment.

Open to all posibilities right now as i have a bit before he needs his adult tank, and i have many tanks for him to go through before then,

what gallon size would you recommend? and what would you be looking to pay?

Would buying it from a store be better..
or how would i go about getting it built?
Also.. acrylic.. how good is it.. and where can i get them?

whats better glass vs acrylic?

Or you could make it 3'W. $900 for a 8' By 30" tank, and $1400 for 8' By 3' wide tank both on glass cages.com What I'm going to do for my monster tank is either buy it off their website or use a 25% off coupon at a LFS whichever is cheaper. and those prices are just for the tank. In the Glass Vs. Acryllic it's pretty much about personal preference. Acryllic is a little more clearer, and quite a bit stronger than glass, but is more expensive, and scratches easier than glass. It's really your choice.
