What kind of tankmates are with it?
It shouldn't be able to inflict damage like that on itself. Especially taking off a whole pelvic streamer.
I'd say raise the temp in the tank and add some aquarium salt. The split fins will heal quickly, but the pelvic fin to my experience won't grow back to the same length as the other.

At the store it was alone,
but was marked as a leaf fish,
could a leaf fish do that damage?
will that missing fin be bad for the fish?
mabey i should return it and get another?
Id rather start my trek into arow's with a healthy fish,
sucks that hes missing that fin!
