discovered a nice fish store and saw this used tank that i couldnt pass up. 110 gallon drilled. set up came with tank, stand, light, lids, canopy, big wet/dry, and uv sterilizer. just needs some polishin up. i got it all for 300 bucks, think it was worth it? it looks like an oceanic.

ive never had a tank that was drilled for an overflow, so i have a few questions. what piping do i need to by for the overflow? all i got with the wetdry system is the intake tubing from the overflow. here some pics before any cleanin just got it home.

nice pick up, i'd say 300bux is reasonable considering its a full set-up. can't wait to see some updated pics after you give it a little TLC...

Very nice score, especially for a reef ready tank!

Since the tank is on very small boards, you are probably missing the bulkheads. You need to measure the holes and buy the largest ones that will fit. Check the LFS to see if they have them or can get some. You will also need the hose fittings. You can buy them at Lowes, but HD does not carry them. The lfs will also be able to get them.

should i go ahead and buy them from the fish store? the guy was tellin me he could get me four of the bulk heads for 40 bucks i donno if he was including the fittings or just the bulk heads.

dont know about the bulkheads so i guess, bump?
tank looks totally worth it if there's no cracks/leaks and the stand is in good shape.

forty bucks isn't bad at all. Tell him to order the fittings if he didn't include them. In smaller bulkheads, they are sometimes sold as kits that include the hose fitting and a strainer. With larger bulkheads, they sell them separate.

I will try to take some pics of my over flow for you later today maybe I can get the hubby to tell me which piping you might need.

Did you get the pump for your wet/dry box? Cause if that was included in the $300 then you got an awesome deal. If not a new one will probably run you at least another $300 if not more.

if the tank is a oceanic you can buy the bulk heads strainers and return all in one kit get some flex tubing and a mag drive pump 2 kits tubing few fittings and pump should be under 250$ and its easy as hell to set up
