Sorry for your loss. I wouldn't even bother talking to them. I'd just assume litigation is in order and let them respond with an offer. Let the lawyer do the talking. But it's really going to come down to the fine print in your contract. Take everything you've signed to your attorney and see where you stand. Don't be intimidated by legal fees. It's a bit premature for that. You may get a settlement that covers your fees. But again...it really depends on what you've signed and how both parties have conducted themselves with regard to the contract.

So sorry for your loss, i would absolutely lose it. Hope youre at least compensated although it's tough to replace the time and effort. Not to mention these were your pets, being fish doesnt mean they dont mean something. I would give hell to all of them.

Well I have called the pest control company and supposedly it was a manager who sprayed my unit and she promised he would have never sprayed a fish tank… I call bull as I saw the residue when I was allowed back in. I have been promised a call back. Unfortunately I could not say no to the spray as condo board decided it needed to be done to get the place clean. 20 units had bed bugs and 50 units were being sprayed. They would have used a lock smith if I did not allow access.

There are a few things that really work in my favor here… I took pictures of the fish I had before; I took after photos and photos of the extra chemical all over my condo. I never signed any documents.

If you still have the tarp/bag you put over your tank with the residue on it, that would help your case if you're pursuing it to that level...
