I KNOW, I KNOW!!!!!
I am about to install a sump and overflow on my 210 and discover the overflow box I got wont fit behind the tank!! I researched this obvious question before I went looking for an overflow and was informed that only 5" was required behind my tank....no...6"...SHEEESH!!!!

Okay, so what do I do? I got a CS202 from a LFS for $50(used) in new condition. Of course I could take it back and he would probably give me back my money...but this overflow is awesome.

YES, I CUT THE WALL BEHIND THE TANK! SUE ME!
I have promised my wife I will fix it so it looks good but this whole thing begs the question...What Will You Do or What Have Have You Done 'In The Name Of Fishkeeping?'
All justifications welcome!
Please include pics....

I would have moved the fish tank out six inches.

Yeah, that's happened to me before. I always drained the tanks and moved them. I suppose your method works too. :nilly:

Might as well provide a pic of this awesome overflow.

Rofl, Thats the way to do it !!! something dont fit, make it fit ! hey if that sump doesnt fit under the tank MAKE IT FIT !

Draing the tank and moving it was not an option...unless I move the whole set-up elswhere in the house...it is at the max. boundaries right now. Besides, I had the 5" behind the tank...needed only 1" more...

No one ever done something in " in the name of fishkeeping"?

Here's the overflow.
