in the name of fish keeping, i stole my moms dinning room for my fish tank. Sold the glass 10ft table and all the chairs. Sold some of the furniture in there as well. Then built a custom 12ft acrylic tank all the way down the wall and bought a couch.

lol you couldnt of brought the tank out one more inch? ^ and yeah you could of just put the over flow on the left or right panels

Boldtogether, May I ask why do you need a external overflow for your tank, when I see in the pictures your fish and tank water are fine? Soon or later your fish will get hurt if it runs to that inside part of the overflow box. Good luck with your unnecessary project.
Side bracing in the aquarium will not permit the overflow on the side....come on people, I'm not asking for commentary on the "why" or "how"......What have you done, that was less than orthodox, in the name of fishkeeping that is funny, impressive, clever...what ever? I know, I know, I should have moved the aquarium....but I couldn't, not even an inch...seriously. I am putting a sump for this aquarium because of the simple fact that there will only be one pump and one heater. Right now there is an Eheim 2250, 2026, two power heads, two heaters, two air pumps, a UV sterilizer and way to much clutter, all in the name of fishkeeping.
