In the sewers, underneath us, as we sleep! What creatures lurk? What fish live!?

New scenario: An African Rope Fish scampers from its aquarium and finds a drain in the fish room. Entering the drain it tumbles into the abyss, slithering through the sewer, it finds itself in the rain trap beneath the a century old bank. Here, a warm water pipe delivers a constant stream of fresh overflow water from the radiator system. It is in this 4 by 4 square that the ropefish now lives. Feeding on the larval stage of local dragon flys in the summer, and worms washed into the sewer in the rainy winters.

K wouldn't doubt to find some hardy cichlids in the sewers! I've dumped some dying fish in my toilet which haven't moved in like an hour and as I flush it I see them move! Happens every time with any comets over 3"! Every single time! There is probably a well established comet population in the sewers! Lol. They are born and raised in mostly horrible water conditions and I've seen them in all different types of water! I Don't doubt there are some in our sewers!

But what about the chlorine in the toilet water?

Another possibility is a C.H.U.D. Surfaced at an lfs to feed, saw piranhas and took some back to his lair. The fish survived on scraps of human flesh and have turned into blood thirsty man-eaters.

LOL C.H.U.D...I have to finally see that film and get it over with one of these days.

wow....this thread makes me want to get my rod out n dunk in in the toilet and flush the bait ... (sounds wrong i know lol),

although. im in the UK and wouldnt even know if any fish would live in any possible burst pipes puddles or clean water resivoir pools other than perch carp and so on .. but not many people keep them in aquariums
