first thing to make is the top and bottom frame sections the top being the one with the extra peice through the middle.
i used the workmate to hold these inplace as they need to be joined perfectly to make sure the frame is square.
later i had someone hold these to be extra sure.
after measuring my skimmer and adding a few inches for extra height as it is going in my sump i cut out the first uprights and screwed them together.
i now have the basic structure ready
at the moment this stand is quite weak so i need to make it strong.
so i cut out some extra uprights and these will fit between the top and bottom frame instead of inside the frame as the first uprights did.
the whole thing was upside down i forgot the turn it the right way for the pic LOL.
so i still need strength and god was nowhere to be seen so i decided to add some more strengtheners as i bought too much wood.
i love to over engineer.
so i moved it in the house and stuck the tank on it.
i can now order the sump as i have the dimensions this should come in a week or so then the pipework will begin along with the drilling and making the weir.
what do you think so far
