In your pet store.... you make the choices....

Also if your new to reptiles get someone who is knowledgeable on them.... It might be hard cuz many people are filled with wrong info, but im sure some of us on here could help you choose :p

I am new to some reptiles, but I know a guy in Carlisle that is extensive in any reptile you can think of. So he's going to be a big help, and he loves teaching me new things.

Ugh......I really needed fruit flies today and neither Petco or Petsmart had them. If you do open up a herp/fish shop make sure to carry a variety of feeders!

I am actually compiling a list of things to stock/breed as feeders..

If you got anything to add to it.. just let me know.

Oh yeah!! Second seth's post. Plz plz plz stock good feeders. I know u prob cant but I would KILL if a local source would stock cheapish feeder gecko/anoles. KILL!!! It would allow me to get one of my dream reptiles!! But ordering them can get expensive for an indevidule. 30 bucks shipping alone. Quickly adds to the cost often doubling it. A good store stocking good healthy feeders would be nice. Best of all if u got the room u could store them out of site. Seth is right beside u and im just south. We need a good store around

Seth is 5 mins from me. I've been to his place.

What do you mean by feeder geckos/anoles? I didn't know they could be feeders..

Harumph. I havnt been to his house...

They are/can be feeders and can often be found as such for about 1 to 1.50 a piece but that damn shipping cost kills ya. For a store to stock them as such(ie way south of petsmart $7) would be heavenly esp if it was as close as u.

what specific geckos/anoles would they be?

House geckos I believe and common brown anoles

x2. I always hated how most chain stores and even some specialized stores lacked a proper assortment of feeders (sizes and species); that's partly why I got out of reptiles for the most part since I sometimes had trouble getting properly-sized food for some of the smaller herps that I used to have.

x2. Pretty much any small gecko species and/or small anole species will work, but those two are the ones that are commonly used in the trade. The ones that are used for feeders are the banged up ones that aren't really fit for selling as pets as far as looks go.

What would you pay for feeder anoles/geckos?

And for fruit flys?
