From what I read once you have a pair you will need a large round pond about 8' in diameter and 3' deep keep them in it till they get comfortable feeding only pellet foods then fall back on W/C let about a foot of water evaporate leave it like that for a week or 2 maintaining 2' of water in the pond then fill the foot of missing water and supply plenty of live food
hope for the best

IDK this only sounds like a recipe for incredibly high nitrates, not typically something that would trigger breeding in any species of fish.

Would love to see you succeed at this. You could provide so much info to a topic that has so little available.

as would i...i am getting people saying "forget about it" "it is not ever going to happen"...there is a very good chance it may...

this way would be some way to simulate the rainy season, but it is more complex then he discribed...eg. plants for nitrate removal, cooler rain water to add as flood stage water is cooler then normal water levels and i read that there may be a chemical difference added from the actual rain water that stimulates fish to spawn (i read this in a wild gar breeding study artical)...ect. i could go on and on, but you know what i mean...
