Hmmm... no test kits available in this damn country... so... big water change? I haven't done today's yet...

Water change done and some salt added... during that, I siphoned some weird things from the bottom of the tub... thought it was feces but when I checked in the bucket I found these:

Eggs?? These were in fact giving that strong fishy smell...

By the way, I've checked the injured tail... it seems to be healing now...

They do look like eggs to me but I've never seen clarias eggs before so I can't comment there. Post it in Catfish forum.:)

Will do! :)

Thank you for your reply, Lupin. :) I will do that.

Though it's not really a bullying problem... the severums are only babies (3 inches max.) and the cat is about 33 inches long... the thing is that when the babies swim by and see the injured tail of that cat (which, as usual, spends a lot of time lying on the substrate), they try to nibble on it. Just a peck that makes the cat move away yet that can't be good for the healing process.

So... I'm going to take your advice and move the severums until the cat heals. Thank you again. :)
Just reread my previous post and found this mistake... I meant to put 13 inches (or 33 centimetres)... sorry about that...

It may be a bit late to comment but I'm going to anyway, the first thing I thought when I read the first post is separate and the first thing I thought when I saw the water change picture was eggs. Glad everything seems to be healing up now.

It's never too late to comment, my friend! :)

Yeah, it started with an injury that was worsened by babies nibbling at it and now it's where the cat is laying eggs while in quarantine! :)

My concern is about the injury healing... we'll see about eggs later... ;)
