Input? Porsche Boxster/S2000/R32

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Man I'm gonna feel like a posser now if I get the R32 thanks Itchty
I was just kidding about the poseur part--the R32 is the real deal and considerably less common than either the Boxster S or S2000. It's just my innate prejudice against water-cooled VWs talking. :)

I actually own a VW (modified '69 Karmann Ghia) and a Subaru ('05 Legacy GT wagon). I'm just old school when it comes to VWs--I think they stopped making real cars when they abandoned the old rear engine, air-cooled, boxer engine format for FWD, transverse, water-pumpers. Plus, I don't like popping the hood and seeing the engine facing sideways.

DAMMIT! Just haul ur ass over to the Honda dealer and tell them these 4 simple words.

"I WANT AN S2000!"

Could S2000 be considered a word? I'm just playing around. What's odd is when I started looking for a new car two months ago I was deciding between an FJ cruiser and either the STI or an EVO. Now this is where the most recent path has led me.

Itchy I was only joking about feeling like a poseur.. I think I still botched the spelling. If I was going to go the R32 route I think I would wait for the R36. At least I would get some more hp and a different look since my current car a 00 GTI would look very similar to the R32.

Let me put it this way.

I have 2 kids to think about when I buy a car, so an S2000 is unrealistic. You don't have to worry about that. So Enjoy ur S2000 now and save teh EVO and STi for later when you have kids and need a sedan. LOL

S2000 all the way.

I had one. It was awsome. The only reason i traded it was to get an M5 for an increadibly good price that i couldnt pass up.
Otherwise, i wouldnt have given it up.

One note though. Dont get the new model. It has Drive-by-wire which totally sucks ass.
Get a used 2003
I believe the 2003 was the best year so far, so i would go for that. Before that they start having the plastic rear windows =yuk.

The only problem i have with the S2000 is not having Torque, and not having any room for anything. Dont get me wrong, i am REALLY good at Tetris and could all fit my tools, jack, video camera, stands, overnight bag and some other stuff too in the trunk.
But again, i'm good at Tetris.

----> The M5 ownz though. I will never go back. :headbang2

Dont get a Porche unless its the GT3

The Boxters are pieces of Sh*t.

And my friend has an R32. We both drove each other's cars. I like the R32, but he liked my S2000 even more. :naughty:

Lotus are ok. I hate their look though. Thats just personal opinion. I see them everyday by my work.

 Thanks for the imagery!

I guess that did kind of come up out of no where huh?

But it's true. Ya know? You have to fit each bag next to each other with zero clearence and if you F up, then you have to start all over again.
