Im not saying its expensive to the point where its unreasonable, just to the point where id rather use that money to make a nice planted tank. I was just giving my two cents, and it was already stated that money wasn't a problem to op. I think those last two pics canceled each other out though canuck lol.

i think it's the just the general view that the public has. heck, even i do since i know nothing about saltwater. it just seems so mysterious and expensive lol. but what am i saying, ive got close to $1300 invested in that 57g, and it doesnt even have water or plants yet

from all the stuff i looked up its basically just salinity and the bulk of your filtration is done by the live rock in most systems i have seen.
if you condition your water for fresh it is pretty much no extra work just the cost of the salt

lol sorry, just going through my pictures.. I have this pic down by my tank, it keeps me mindful of the damage he can do. No matter how much he likes to be rubbed on his tummy. Must keep away from the head

That was the eel in his 210.... Wow he was big in that tank...


Also in the 180 Holding tank. LOL he is as big as the 180...

My LFS has a tiny moray eel that I almost wrapped myself around buying, but then I thought about the size of tank I would need when he got to be fully grown and threw up in my mouth.
