if you do end up switching your 100 to salt you could do a bunch of smaller fish. it would be sick having a large school of chromis, a coral banded shrimp, a hawkfish, some clowns ect...
if you enjoy breeding then try the clowns
or you could go pred with triggers, lions, eels ect...
another opition is a reef
just remember with salt if you start you willl not want to quit

I say give salt a try if you don't like it you can easily trade the equipment for fresh stuff. cause 6/10 times salt equipment costs more then fresh and plenty of people would probly be willing to buy stuff.

cichlids have waaayy more personality than salt water fish....salt is bad for you..

I have to disagree with this since my previous tank was a cichlid tank. The only cichlids I found amusing were oscars.

whats with everyone against salt the only people against it are the ones who haven't tried it

And I don't get the maintenance issue... I have to do water changes on my predatory fresh tanks at least twice a week.... my reef gets a water change every two months.

I didn't go through all 12 pages so forgive me if this already came up but I thought I would throw out the idea of going native. It's like having a leper tank around here, so it's already got that built in rebel street credit. Another bonus is you could get in to fishing, if you were so inclined, then any cool fish you may catch could be a potential adoptee.

get a salt water barracuda but you have to ask some one where to find them and how to cath a baby salt water barracuda and put like 2 groupers in there with a ribbion or a snow flake eel

i have both African and S.American tank and i do love my kigoma community but i gotta say my salt tank is my pride and joy:P
