Well that's depressing. :(
Why doesn't the gf like it? Condensation? Just the look of it? I can't understand why she wouldn't love it..

I think she's probably more worried about her cats drinking aquarium water etc, either that or the aesthetics. Pity, but ah well!

why not just grab a 20Long for $10 from a pawn shop and super-size your mini-size???

You're obsessed w/ these micro-sized tanks as of late, aren't ya?

Yeah I'm quite into the nano scene just now lol, if I was up sizing, it would have to be shallow and square like; I think the one in the attached pic looks superb

yea, I doesn't HAVE to be shallow but I imagine it makes things easier, but you can always "play build-up" and use larger pieces of décor. I thought a 20Long would be perfect at 11" (inside bottom to the lip) on the inside and 12.75" on the outside (counting the borders), if you want to stay small and actually put fish in it but keep it lightweight a basic 5.5g is only 16"X 9" and weighs about 40 lbs, .....

,,.......OR you could put a 5.5g INSIDE a 20Long and use your imagination from there. Just saying - the small tanks are cool for a time, then they just end up getting annoying cuz you can't do much with them. You clearly have a knack for this type of stuff, why waste it on little tiny stuff?

A 20Long w/ a female Convict or a Betta or pair of Rams and some Platys or Mollys will work and you'll thank yourself for using bigger tank when it comes to water quality

But where's the challenge there Frank? :P

We Fishkeepers like subjecting ourselves to things that tear our hair out haha; but nah you are correct of course, it does get annoying on the wee tanks.

Watch this space :P

exactly, my fishkeeping life would be dull if I didn't have decent sized tanks running, hardly time to do water changes on all of them, and fish just beating the hell out of eachother randomly and without warning! lol

It looks wonderful. My betta tanks light cover burnt yellow and the clip on light didnt really keep much alive so my planted dragon rock ended up in my 70.
If i build a 80x35x35cm (98litre) i want to try and get it too look like something you scaped :) with the naturalistic feel to it

Lol it's currently empty, my girlfriend hates it with a passion; so I've stashed it in my back room until such time that I feel brave enough to toy wiith it again lol.
