Interested in a reptile but know nothing about them

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
HUMIDITY!! IF THEY NEED A CERTAIN HUMIDIDTY, KEEP THEM IN THAT! My pet store kept my beardie in a hind eviroment, and he ended up with Pariandontal Disease, which weakened his immune system so that he couldn’t fight the Bone Infection, and is getting euthanized.

That’s terrible. How do I keep humidity levels stable?

You can mist. My bearded kept at very low humidity levels. He has 2 heat lamps.

I wouldn’t just decide on A crested so soon. There are plenty of other exotic oddball reptiles that are small, social, and fun to keep.
I agree but I think it’s best for me to stick with someone common and easy to get before I take my hand at anything else

The Masked Shadow The Masked Shadow if he has no experience with reptiles then I think he has the right idea with starting small. There is a reason why you dont see certain species in the hobby. Reptiles that are readily available are usually easier to care for that some of the rare stuff
