Does anyone actually have any Intermedia in their collection??!!
 
yeah there are a few out there, mostly in asia. there is one in a display tank at H2O custom aquatics

Mike @ H2O. That's the person I know that has one.
 
That is such a good looking cichla! Does anyone know where he was able to pick it up? obviously it was a while ago, it is almost full size.

In addition to H2O and Michael keeping this guy... I believe Lewis23 also had this in his tank....

And before it went to the East Coast it made it's round in the West. Made guest appearance in my tank, calisucks, and Amazon Don.

This particular one originated from River Wonders. Amazon Don had first possession then like a 2 Dolla Hooka it was past around... (like House64) was back in the day.

Of all the Intermedias River Wonders imported many started dying off or was really prone to a SEVERE CASE of HITH... I mean SEVERE.... I believe AmazonDon ended up having the only batch left. 2 Were of good condition and the other handful was crazy zombie looking fish with the HITH..

So if I recall from the bath RW wonders brought in only less than a handful are still out there. I believe most reside in the East Coast somewhere including the one on H2O's video.

Oh, there was one guy from Victorville that had a baby onebut has never posted updates since. This one I believe he brought in himself and not from the RW batch.

It's great to have history on fish that has more frequent flyer miles than I ever will...hahaha...

Crazy history about that Intrem. Passed through a lot of great hands. Just like the Oscar you use to have R1_.

Damn! While most of us were still playing in our cichla undies, these intermedias were been flown all over the continental united states! Still can't believe nobody's been able to bring any more in, considering they're found throughout the Orinoco where the orinos come from.
