Hey.

I have a Yepezi ray that ive had for almost a half year, and i feed her heavlily, but she never seems go gain weight, she is also very picky when it comes to food. I feed her Red Muscito Larvae, and Nightcrawlers. When i feed Larvae she eats 3cmx10cm frozen, its a pretty big plate, and she bulbs like hell afterwards, but she is skinny again the next day. She does not get that skinny after worm feeding, but still.. When i feed worms i chop 10x of them, she is pretty smal 5-6 inches, so thats a heavy feed..But if i dont feed her for a day or two, the pelvic bones show again, i really think she has some paracites, i have threated with prazi, but didnt seem to help. What can i threat with? Everytime i feed her she gets very bulby, but when it goes a day or two, the pelvic shows again. In a half year i think she should have gained some weight, she has not grown any either, like the 4 others i got with the same shippment. They grow like hell and eat me out of the house.

bloodworms, aka mosquito larvae, are about as nutritious as toenails. This may be part of your problem. Notice the difference between when your ray eats the bloodworms and when it eats earthworms

I know, but its better then nothing, and as i wrote "She does not get that skinny after worm feeding, but still" .. And as i also said, she is veeery picky, she only eats those 2 things..I will make mix with shrimp and worms, let it stay overnight, and just feed the shrimps, done it several times, with no luck, but im up for a try again..But still, she should have gained something. And she hasnt.

Sorry to butt in on ur post but, If anyone can answer this guys question on whats the best internal parasite treatment out there, you'd be answering it for me too. I know for a fact my ray has internal parasites. I went to the LFS and they told me no internal parasite treatment that just treats the water will solve the problem. They don't sell anything in the store but told me there's stuff online u can buy that u "soak" the food in and then feed. Ive searched and cannot find anything.

Internal bugs usually get wiped out with Panacur treatments. It will knock them off of feeding a bit, and you need to run it for a couple weeks to make sure and wipe out any eggs that may hatch during the process.

kusuri wormer plus has panacur in it.you can only order this stuff from uk plymoth discus and its cheap too.its safe for rays and is a bath treatment.

Panacur is primarily used for dogs/horses in larger doses. You don't need much at all.

So if i go to the pet store and just get panacur for canine. U think i should try putting like half a tab in a piece of shrimp? Have u ever done this?? just asking becuz this is my first ray i dont want to do anything that could be deadly, actually i see its like a powder. how would i do this?
